Introduction and information

Its a type of valve that consists of a circular body and a disc that can rotate 90o degres on a shaft. Its light and cheap compared to other valves. When the valve is open,it must be usd in full open or fully closed position in the waste water since it is a flap inside. It should not be used as throttle valve.As the flap approaches the closing point,the flow rate increases,where cavitation begins.


Casting materials in butterfly valves are produced from GGG 40 - GGG 50 nodular cast iron material as standart. The Surface sit on the body is filled with the AISI 308-316 LSI stainless welding robot. This surface, which is processed on CN's after welding,ensures that the valve ring which is made of EPDM / NBR material with special profile is working safely for a very long time.

Valve Drive System / Gearbox

Endless screw and counter gear are used. Valves used in DN 600 PN 16 and larger diameters or higher pressure are also used with additional gear boxes. Gearbox mounting flange and gearbox output flange can be changed as required because of it is standart. Suitable for mounting any actuator.

The first eccentric (a2) moves the sealing axis out of the spindle axis. The second eccentricity(1a) moves the flap axis out of the valves axis With the help of the second eccentric, the leakage ring is separated from the body surface by a small movement in the direction of opening. The purpose of the second eccentric is to reduce friction by lowering the pressure on the rubber sealing ring together with the low torque level during the opening of the valve.

In order the best adjust the valve opening position,the first eccentric A1 is drilled in the vertical plane (DN according to the valve nominal diameter)
